our story

They both started at Vans on June 8th, 2015 but with Brad based out of New York, they didn't end up meeting until that following December. When Brad saw Brenna across the room at a company event he asked a mutual friend, Daz, to introduce them. Daz did so very willingly citing "a PNW girl and an East-Coast boy make a beautiful combination" (still not sure what that means). When they met that night, Brenna was awkward and uninterested (classic). Brad held out hope for an entire year where they met again at the same event. This time, Brad held Brenna's attention a little bit more. He mustered up the courage to ask Brenna out... luring her in with the promise of watching the Seahawks game at a local bar that evening. Brenna was, once again, awkward AF and invited Daz along in order to make it "less of a date". Once Daz left, Brad finally got the date he had been trying for. It was just the two of them chatting and not really even paying attention to the game.

Brad flew back to New York the next morning but the two remained in close contact and even began seeing each other multiple times a month flying coast to coast or meeting up in cities all over the country. This was the beginning of the longest long-distance relationship of all time.

Though the long distance rarely had an end in sight, they both remained hopeful, persistent and in love.

For years (4 to be exact), they relied on 1-2 week long stints once a month in order to sustain their relationship. Once quarantine hit, they we able to be cooped up together in Brenna's small Newport Beach beach house with their dogs, Samantha & Nixon. Apparently, the couple that quarantines together, stays together. 4 months in, they moved their quarantine to Seattle and spent the summer continuing to fall in love, not only with each other, but with Brenna's hometown and community. During this summer, Brad was sneakily buying a ring and proposed to a VERY surprised Brenna on September 4th at Three Tree Point's South Beach.

Their long-distance relationship finally came to end in July of 2021 when Brad officially moved to the West Coast. They now live happily together with their pups and save a lot of money on flights. Story with a happy ending <3
